Alice's creator Chris crawford started his professional stage career as a singer and karaoke host long before he knew he had an extraordinary talent as a Drag queen, Chris went through a very turbulent period in his life when some years ago he had a bad accident which left him with a fractured skull and completely destroyed his confidence in his life in general and as a stage performer, determined not to let this beat him, Chris carried on regardless and decided to go back on the road with his karaoke show as this was something that he always had a certain flare for.
One tragic night chris was attacked and stabbed twice by a drunken youth that wasn't known to him, this incident almost proved fatal for Chris. After the court hearing, Chris left the UK to get away for a while but when he returned he totally changed, the man that was once so full of character and life was now a shadow of his former self, chris stopped socializing , gave up with his singing career and locked himself away,he became a recluse, suffered violent panic attacks and a low self esteem, he lost his will to live shutting everyone out including his family.
Chris then started going away alone on holidays abroad to Turkey to try to rebuild his life but unfortunately every time he came home he was no different.
In 2007 Chris went back to Marmaris, Turkey in a vein last attempt to find himself and it was at this time he found himself at the Mehtap Hotel where there was a show on. Drag diva Bella Berserk, Queen of visual comedy was playing a five month season there at the time and Chris was absolutely spellbound and completely liberated by Bella's amazing show.
Bella and Chris soon became good friends, Bella helped Chris with costume ideas and make-up tips and gave him a guest spot in her show, Chris was asked to participate in a show number called living next door to Alice, Chris decided to become the character(Alice) and went shopping at the Bazaar to find a suitable costume to wear, this was how Alice Bazaar was born, chris has reinvented himself again as well as finding his sister-self, a part of him that was once destroyed has returned as this glamorous creature we now know and love, like the phoenix rising once again from the ashes as this fabulous gender illusionist we know as a real showbiz star .
Alice's story is an inspiration , at last Chris is free and ready to shine brighter than ever before, Alice has already performed on many occasions including , Hen nights, Cabaret shows, Corporate functions , Birthday parties and Weddings.
Alice's act is going from strength to strength and proving to millions of people out there that if something terrible happens to you, life is still worth living.
